Water Day at IMAS
MCALLEN - "Water
is a basic requirement for all life, yet water resources are facing increasing
demands from, and competition among, users. In 1992, the UN General Assembly
designated 22 March of each year as the World Day for Water." ~

In observance of this day IMAS would like to
invite you to join us Saturday, March 21st for an all day event focusing on
this most precious resource. Jaime Flores, of the Arroyo Colorado Partnership,
will be present to talk about local and regional water issues and presentations
utilizing NOAA's "Science On a Sphere" will highlight global issues
related to water. Additionally, hands-on and other art activities will
focus on recycled and recyclable materials. World Water Day is
part of IMAS' "Smart About Water" Program and is sponsored by the
McAllen PUB.

medium. There is no life without water." ~
